The 707 Story
707 Artistry was born from the bond of three sisters, Oluwatope, Oluwatosin, and Toluwalase Ajiborisha, whose shared love for beauty became a vision bigger than themselves.
How it began
A Simple Exchange that Started It All
It started simply: Tolu, who lived in the UK, would send makeup products to her sister Tope, who was learning makeup professionally in Nigeria. When Tope’s tutor asked to buy those same products, the sisters realized they had something special: access, trust, and a growing community that believed in quality.
What began as a personal exchange became the seed of a brand built on honesty, transparency, and authenticity. In 2017, that seed took root with the launch of 707 Artistry’s first store, a name inspired by Tope’s birthday, and “Artistry” chosen to reflect their belief that beauty is more than makeup; it’s an expression of self.
They dreamt of a brand that could evolve into anything creative, from a makeup studio to a hub of artistic experiences. Every decision was deliberate, every product sourced with care, every interaction rooted in trust.
Then in 2020, life changed. Losing Tope, the eldest sister and one of the brand’s strongest anchors, was a heartbreak that could have ended everything. But in her memory, Tolu and Taiye found purpose. Through grief, a pandemic, inflation, and economic uncertainty, they rebuilt, holding tightly to the brand’s essence while adapting to the times. Skincare slowed, but makeup remained the brand’s lifeline, sustained by a loyal community of makeup artists and everyday women who saw 707 Artistry not just as a store, but as a companion in their craft and confidence.
Today, 707 Artistry stands as a testament to resilience, integrity, and sisterhood. Led by Tolu’s passion and guided by the values they all shared, the brand remains a hub for authentic products and guided expertise.
