The story started in 2017 when Danessa Myricks came to Lagos as the headline makeup artist for GTBank Fashion Week. Her artistry and authenticity captured our attention. Watching her transform faces with her then-new product line was unforgettable.
We were three sisters, passionate, hopeful, and ready to build something meaningful. Danessa’s passion reflected our own values at 707 Artistry: integrity, transparency, and excellence.
After the event, we approached her with a bold proposal:

A huge part of this partnership’s success belongs to our late sister, Oluwatope, whose persistence and financial commitment made everything possible. Despite time zone differences, complex wire transfers, and startup challenges, she ensured that contracts were signed and our first $5,000 order (about ₦1.6 million in 2017) arrived in Nigeria within 21 days.
